Nature of the Collaboration: Dual Degree & Student Exchange,

   

General Guidelines;

Once all  documents are compiled they are to be submitted to the “Office of the Study Abroad JGBS (OSAJ)” through your programme director (documents to be mailed as a zip file to jgbsiep@jgu.edu.in).

  

Dual Degree Students:

Course Load: 3 or 4 subjects (30 - 40 credit points): visit for more information: apps.bond.edu.au/subjects

Application Process for Dual Degree Students:

  • Obtain approval from JGBS institution
  • Submit application online
  • Show proof of English skills (if required)
  • Receive your Letter of Offer
  • Sign and return your Response to Offer form
  • Receive Confirmation of Enrolment and apply for student visa
  • Enroll in classes before departure
  • Organize accommodation

  

Exchange Students:

Student must be nominated via correspondence from JGBS study abroad office to Bond University’s Exchange Office on exchange@bond.edu.au. Once nominated, the student will be contacted by Bond with instructions to submit an online application.

Course load (minimum and maximum): Three or four subjects (30 - 40 credit points).

   

Application Process:

1. Exchange Officer at Bond receives email from partner institution with details of nominated student/s

2. Email response sent to partner institution. Acceptance will be based on agreement type and current exchange balance

3. Students must then complete Bond University online application apply.bond.edu.au

4. Student will select six to eight Bond subjects for approval via the online application

5. Once the application is submitted, it will be assessed within two to four weeks

6. Student will be notified of their application outcome via email

7. Student must sign and return the Response to Offer and make payment for Students Activities

Membership and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)

8. Bond will then issue a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE). Student will require the CoE document to apply for a student visa.

   

Eligibility & English Requirements:

For Exchange Students:

  • Students must meet Bond University’s Entry Requirements:
  • Academic: GPA of 2.5 on 4-point scale, or C on ECTS scale
  • English language: Please see bond.edu.au/English-requirements

  

For Dual Degree Students:

  • Complete two semesters at JGBS institution
  • American students: minimum 2.5 GPA
  • European students: minimum C grade in ECTS scale
  • Meet English language requirements:bond.edu.au/English-language-requirements

Orientation is for finalizing enrolment, Faculty events and participating in student activities.

The study abroad coordinator of the JGBS nominates exchange students through an online nomination system (details will be sent to all study abroad coordinators in due time).

Student Visa (subclass 500) Information: border.gov.au/Trav/Visa-1/500-

Student visas are preferred as students cannot receive OSHC on non-student visa.

If a student is coming in on any category of visa other than a student visa, this must be made known

to the Exchange Officer. Approval for a student visa can take up to four weeks. Students are advised

not to book flights until their visa is approved.

Academic transcript, grading scale, English Language Proficiency documents (if required), formal nomination

and copy of photo page of passport

For Dual Degree Students:

Certified copy of academic transcript, grading scale, English Language Proficiency documents (if required) and copy of photo page of passport

  

Housing/Residence and Food Info:

Semester 1: 8 January - 25 April, 2018

Semester 2: 7 May - 19 August, 2018

Semester 3: 3 September - 16 December, 2018

Health Insurance:

AUD $275 for five months cover*: Bond’s preferred provider of OSHC is Allianz Global Assistance - oshcallianzassistance.com.au. When applying for a student visa, students will be required to upload the CoE document as evidence of their OSHC insurance (excluding students from Belgium, Norway and Sweden).

  

Estimated Cost of Attendance;

On-campus accommodation: AUD $277 - $372 per week (including internet, utilities, laundry, meals, air conditioning, weekly cleaning)

Private accommodation: AUD $170 - $320 per week

Food / meals: AUD $60 - $100 per week (off campus)

Local transportation: AUD $10 - $20 per week

Academic expenses :(textbooks) AUD $200 - $500 per semester
